Lublin with a population of 340 thousand inhabitants is the largest economic and academic center in Eastern Poland, and also the only metropolitan macro-region city. Lublin is among the most dynamically developing Polish cities, on top positions in the rankings of sustainable development and quality of life. In Lublin's concept of a smart city, the quality of life changing due to sustainable city management plays a key role. On of the aspect of this process is the gradual evolution of the economy towards circular economy. The commune of Lublin is involved in the circular economy by supporting creative industries, participating in the FORCE project - cities cooperating FOR Circular Economy and organizing educational campaigns for residents.
