Circular Week 2021 - Together for a sustainable future

2021-11-15

This year's edition of Circular Week took place from 11th to 17th of October 2021, and its culmination was the Mazovia Circular Congress. The main theme were the challenges that the modern world faces in terms of introducing the idea of circular economy. Important topics included: extended producer responsibility, water, sewage and waste management, raw materials and circular fashion of the future. Workshops for consumers were also organised, encouraging them to act ecologically every day.

In total 47 events were held with guests from all over the world. Some of the organisers were Circular Economy Forum Austria (with the event Designing a Circular Future), Institute for Circular Economy (Circular & Sustainable solutions for the hospitality industry), Circular Slovakia (How to measure and report your carbon footprint?), The National Institute of Circular Economy (INEC) (Blockchain for Circular Economy actors in 10 questions) or the AMCHAM Israel Circular Economy (Circularity in the Startup Nation). The initiatives included fruitful discussions on circular solutions in the tourism industry, European regulations or creative solutions implemented by Israeli start-ups.

Worth mentioning is also the presence of such people as Freek van Eijk, CEO of Holland Circular Hotspot, prof. Jacqueline Cramer and Guido Braam, who took part in panels as experts and Cathrine Barth - founder of Nordic Circular Hotspot. We are honoured by their presence during Mazovia Circular Congress. Representatives of the Hotspots also took part in Dutch Day, organised by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Poland.

We estimate the number of participants in the entire event over 3,000. Despite the pandemic conditions, the event was an international success.
